Yippee ... because of lab results got Weds off. Got a shot of NEUPOGEN to stimulate the cells and went home. Would have liked to have had a nap, but phone kept ringing, temp was going up for afternoon so took 2 reg. Tylenol, then the guy to do shoveling came by and we yakked until 4:15 when he started. When Jim got home I crashed and didn't wake until 7:30. By that time my back was killing me (figuratively), but I couldn't take any more Tylenol until 1AM. It was from the shot, but if I had realized it was going to be so bad, I would have taken the extra strength version. Anyway, I went to bed and tried to find a position where it wouldn't hurt so much (yeah right), and woke up on my own around 1AM (how did I do that????). Took 2 extra strength , my antibiotics (wasn't able to take morning dose until 1pm because I forgot to bring with me to dr.). After a bit, the pain lightened up so was able to sleep until Jim's alarm went off. Felt much better when I got up for thyroid meds (6:45), went back to sleep and haven't taken another Tylenol since. I'm sure around 7:30 the temp will go up again, but if my back doesn't hurt will only take regular.
Doc will be on vacation for 2 weeks so don't know what his replacement will do. Hoping he'll just be keeping an eye on my labs.
Here's where I stand (or sit I guess) as of Tuesday:
Red Blood count (RBC) 3.69 (low normal 3.80) but I got 2 units of blood on Monday
Platelets (PLT) 21 (low normal 150) long way to go but up from Monday
White cells (WBC) 2.4 (low normal 4.0)
All were going up, slightly, but at least going up.
Keep those prayers coming that the cancer got a "severe" beating after that 4 day chemo. Still figure I've got better odds of beating this than winning the lottery.
Love to all
